Who is Geoff Marx?

Geoff’s career path started with studying Pharmacy at the University of Sydney. As a pharmacist, Geoff became disillusioned with the limited choices for helping people with their health concerns, as most options were for treating symptoms and not the cause of people’s ill health. This led Geoff into the world of natural therapies and over 20 years of study and self exploration in this arena.

Geoff decided to open his own pharmacies and focus his businesses on natural health care options. Geoff opened his first pharmacy in Oxford St, Paddington in 1991 and as a qualified Herbalist and Pharmacist, Geoff was able to offer his clients an informed choice with what traditional and western medicine had on offer. Geoff’s interests in alternate healing modalities grew, and when studying Naturopathy chose Astrology as an elective and a new passion unfolded.

Geoff saw how the energy at the moment of our birth, filters the way we see and interact with the world, and that this helps create our belief system or reality. These core beliefs (spirit) in turn affect the way we think (mind), our behavioural patterns, and sometimes even manifest as physical ailments (body).

Having a clinic space in his pharmacies, Geoff started seeing clients using Astrology and found that changing core beliefs embedded in the chart was pivotal in the healing process with his clients. By 2003 Geoff had sold his pharmacies and concentrated his energy on his Astrology healing practise and teaching Astrology. Geoff designed and taught the Certificate of Astrology at Nature Care College, lectured at the AANSW (Astrologers Association of NSW), and also decided to establish the Sydney Astrology School.

At Sydney Astrology School, a more comprehensive syllabus was designed. Smaller classes allowed for a more intimate learning environment and created a safe space for students to use Astrology as a tool for self exploration and personal growth. Students would not only learn the craft of Astrology, but would heal some of their old belief patterns, learn to work with their soul’s purpose, and understand how to use their gifts to live a more fulfilling and purposeful life.

Sharing the same philosophies and objectives in teaching Astrology as colleague and friend Marc Laurenson, they decided to join forces in order to continually expand and evolve both the school and the syllabus.

Geoff’s interests in spiritual work and heightening his intuitive abilities still continue, and completing training in Energy Clearings, Past Life Exploration, Reiki and Channelling also assists his students and clients on their own unique journeys.

Certificate of Astrology - AstroVarsity - Academy of Astrology and the Healing Arts, Bachelor of Pharmacy, Advanced Diploma of Naturopathy, Diploma of Herbal Medicine, Diploma of Nutrition, Diploma of Classical Homoeopathy, Diploma of Remedial Massage, Certificate of Spirit of Light Energy Training, Reiki Master, Avatar Master and a Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace Training.
